3D Character Modeling: 3D models are not just the human characters. We have 3D objects like 3D vehicles. A 3D car model can as enduring as 3D model human anatomy. A good 3D artist of capable of making simple 3D model ships come to life and tells a story of its own!
A 3D artist (or a 3D modeler) has the tough and time testing job of bringing together a series of frames just to create one second of 3D animation. To make a 3D animated model appear real is much tougher than many of us think. When an expert models 3D character modeling he is virtually giving birth to a new identity.
Ask any 3D artist and he will tell you that the biggest challenge in 3D modeling is to ‘kill your darlings’. It’s almost criminal when artist models 3D stuff with so much passion and then asked to cut out a portion of it (or at times totally discard it). Yet, it’s a necessary evil.
Eventually 3D character modeling is a business and the emotions have to take a back seat. The person who models 3D characters feels like he has lost someone dear when the editor, almost heartlessly, cuts the parts of his creation. This see saw of emotions for mere graphics is the soul of 3D modeling.
